Get Learning: Ignite

Ignite is an accelerated course for high school learners, where they learn how to learn. It includes:

• Neuroscience about the brain and learning
• Well-researched mindset concepts like Growth Mindsets
• Proven learning techniques like retrieval practice

Completing the course takes 2 sessions of about 30 minutes, and can totally transform a user's relationship with learning, from unmotivated to self-motivated.

It also equips them with practical learning tools, to start creating a future they want.

How does it work?

Most learning problems are caused by:

1. Mistaken Beliefs

At some point the people tell themselves something like: "I'm a bad learner", "I'm not musical", "I'm not an athlete". Beliefs like this can be very limiting and harmful. The application focuses on growth/learning mindsets that show how any of our abilities can be developed.

2. Lack of Learning Tools

Most people that struggle with learning were never really taught how to learn. The application is a catch-up course that will give learners the tools they need to move forward consistently.

Why bother with learning?

At the start of the course, learners are asked to think about where they would like to be 10 years from now, and who they would like to become; they create a vision of the future self they want to be.

We ask them to think about what skills their future self will need to learn. And what personal abilities they will need to learn and develop, like strength, courage and curiosity.

In other words, we look at how learning is the key that can unlock their future, no matter who they want to become.
